Is The Church of Christ The New Israel?

Yes.

Paul is dealing with the false doctrine of the Judaizing teachers who were compelling Gentile Christians to submit to the law of Moses and physical circumcision. Paul writes to combat it with the truth that the new Israel is, in fact, the church of Christ in Galatians 6:16: "And as many as walk according to this rule, peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God."

How Are People Baptized By One Spirit Into One Body?

1 Corinthians 12:13 states: "For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body; whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free; and have all been made to drink into one Spirit."

The immersion mentioned here is an immersion that results in people being placed into the body of Christ. The body of Christ is the church of Christ (Ephesians 1:22-23). Which immersion results in people being placed into the body of Christ - the immersion in the Holy Spirit or water immersion?

Is It Necessary To Place Membership With A Congregation Once You Have Been Baptized Into The One True Church?

As Christians seek out a congregation with which to work and worship (and thus commit to be under the oversight of the local leadership, Acts 20:28; this is commonly called "placing membership"), they need to be cautious and wise, making sure the church and its leadership are sound in the faith (1 John 4:1; 1 Thessalonians 5:21).

Is The Church A Physical Building?

People today often refer to a building when they speak of the church. They may say, “Isn’t that a beautiful church” or “where is the church located?” However, the Lord’s church is not a building or physical structure. The church is a spiritual body (John 18:36) made up of people who have obeyed the Gospel (1 Peter 4:17). When Peter preached on Pentecost we read, “Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls” (Acts 2:41). Those who obey the gospel (Matthew 7:21; Hebrews 5:9) by believing in Jesus, repenting of sins, confessing faith in Jesus and being baptized in water for the remission of sins (Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38; 8:37; 22:16) are added to the church by God (Acts 2:47). The church is the spiritual body of Christ, the redeemed (Titus 2:14), the body of those who are saved (Ephesians 5:23).

Is The Church Being Referred To As The Kingdom In Luke 21:31?

As a Christian is diligent in rightly dividing the word of truth, he must understand how a word is used in its immediate context (2 Timothy 2:15). One of the mistakes commonly made is assuming that a word always has the same meaning in every context. Such is the case with the word “kingdom.”

What Is The Role of Biblical Doctrine In The Life Of The Church?

The role of doctrine plays a very important part in the life of the church in various aspects. The word “doctrine” simply means “teaching.” Christianity is a teaching religion (Matthew 28:18-20; 2 Timothy 2:2). Elders (1 Timothy 5:17; Titus 1:9), preachers (1 Timothy 4:6,13,16; 6:1,3; 2 Timothy 3:16; Titus 2:7,10), and all Christians are to teach (Titus 2:1-10) and practice true and sound (healthy) doctrine.

Did The Church of Christ Arise Out Of The Stone-Campbell Movement?

There are many people who are teaching that the church of Christ is just another denomination that arose out of the Stone-Campbell (Barton W. Stone and Alexander Campbell – the “Restoration” leaders) movement that started in the early 1800s in America.
