Stay "tuned" in for more TGOC! - From the field and around the WWW

When we launched a nationwide broadcast last summer, we made some very difficult decisions to pull back in some of our local markets as well as national feeds on satellite on multiple channels. At that time, we were broadcasting to a potential of over 40 million households across the US alone not to mention some other countries.

NewsNation (formerly WGN) more than doubled that exposure for us with reaching up to 80 million households potential, so it was one of those necessary evils in which we had to cut budget to make budget work.

Our supporting congregations and individuals just continued to help us press forward and slowly over this past year, we have re-entered several local broadcast markets! We are over 20 local broadcasts now, with still seeing possibilities to expand through this year with more locally sponsored programs.

In many of these local markets, we have been very blessed to receive commitments of sponsorship of the program. What this means is that these congregations are helping us with part or whole of the expenses that it takes to broadcast in those areas. I would like to spotlight these congregations that have dedicated support directly to those programs (of course this does not cover all of our supporting congregations…these are the ones that have dedicated a certain or additional amount of support for their local market). These congregations are also advertised on the programs itself in an effort for us to “give back” to them with contact information.

How well does this work? Well…how about a first week’s airing in a brand new local market that resulted in our new sister in Christ, Anna Taylor? To God be the glory that Anna reached out to us and we were able to connect her with the local congregation there. More on that story next month in our newsletter!.
