What Would Prevent A Spouse From Being Reconciled To A Spouse in 1 Corinthians 7:10,11?

Please refer to the question: “Does 1 Corinthians 7:10,11 Grant Permission For Divorce?” for the background to this question.
There are two possible cases which would make it impossible to obey the command of reconciliation (1 Corinthians 7:10,11), namely, after the unscriptural divorce, (1) one of the spouses dies (which makes reconciliation impossible) or (2) one of the spouses marries another (which would make that an adulterous union based on Matthew 5:31,32; 19:9; Romans 7:1-4). Once the option to reconcile has been eliminated, one is only left to continue to remain unmarried in order to be pleasing to God.
