Why Did Jesus Cry Out “My God, My God” If He Is God?

Verse in question: Matthew 27:46, “And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”

Question: Was Jesus crying out to Himself since He is God?

Jesus is a Divine being (John 1:1). There is only one God/Divine Nature (Mark 12:32; 1 Corinthians 8:6) composed of three, distinct persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:18-20; 2 Corinthians 13:14). When Jesus was hanging on the cross, He was crying out to His Father, who is also Divine.
