Our world takes great exception to those who lead people to their own suicide. For example, the name Jim Jones still leaves a bad taste in people’s mouths even today. Under the guise of religious freedom and safety, Jim Jones led over 900 people to their own suicide. We think of events like these and we are appalled at the utter disregard for human life this individual had. Yet, there is a greater tragedy occurring right here in America....

Just as expected, the response to our plea for help in locating book, chapter, and verse location of "The Sinner's Prayer" within the pages of the Bible was very light. In fact, NOT A SINGLE PERSON responded in an attempt to point out either a command or an example of a person being told that, in order to be saved, he must say "The Sinner's Prayer. And we are not surprised.
The point—"The Sinner's Prayer" simply does not exist within God's Word. So why are denominational preachers proclaiming that, in order to be saved from sin, a person must accept Jesus into his/her heart and pray the sinner's prayer? We encourage you, if you have not already done so, to take a close look at Ben's article, "THE SINNER'S PRAYER: A SPIRITUAL TRAGEDY."
