RECORD-BREAKING NEWS FROM THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST
We were absolutely thrilled with the progress that THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST made in 2008. However, things just keep getting better. We had a record month for TGOC in February 2009 with 750,886 page-hits on our Website. We set another record in March with 829,538 page hits in just that one month alone. People not only are continuing to visit the Website, but also are bringing others with them! Just to give you an idea of what we are talking about, consider the following comparison between last year’s monthly average page-hits on our Website versus those so far in 2009. In 2008, the monthly average was 557,716, while the monthly average for 2009 is 721,655. It is both encouraging and humbling to consider the effect that TGOC has had, is having, and can continue to have on the souls of millions of people.
So far in 2009 we have been visited on our Website by 103 different countries. Plus, we have sent free media to 35 states, as well as to the following foreign countries:
- Brazil
- Great Britain
- Guyana
- Mexico
- Nigeria
- Northern Ireland
- Norway
As our staff continues to research, prepare, and present numerous television and radio programs, we also have begun to produce and distribute what we refer to as our “short videos,” which can be seen on Websites such as “YouTube” and “Tangle.” These have proven to be quite successful in reaching people who otherwise might never have heard of us. Along with the short videos, we also are in the process of placing our materials in truck stops around the country in order to promote evangelism among truck drivers. If you are aware of anyone involved with popular truck stops, or if you are acquainted with truckers who might know of good locations in which to place our materials, please contact us.
We are truly grateful to see 2009 getting off to such a good start. Kevin Pendergrass is continuing to visit different congregations on almost a weekly basis in order to tell them more about our work here at TGOC. He would appreciate an opportunity to visit your congregation in order to share in greater detail the wonderful things that we are doing, and that we have planned for the future. If you are interested in such a visit, call Kevin at 580/223-3289.
Thank you again for everything you are doing to make our goal of “taking the whole Gospel to the whole world” a reality! Without your help, TGOC could not be doing all that it is.
TGOC NOW SEEN IN
THE TWO VIRGINIAS
THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST is now available on WVVA-TV in Bluefield, West Virginia! That’s right. Starting this next Sunday, May 3, 2009, at 10:00 a.m., TGOC’s programming will be aired in “the two Virginias.” The Bluefield, Brushfork, Princeton, Rich Creek, and Tazewell congregations of the churches of Christ have gone together to make this happen. We are grateful to these local works that have pooled their resources in a cooperative way in order to take the Gospel to their communities and beyond.
WVVA-TV can be seen in southwestern West Virginia, from Mingo County in the west to as far east as Greenbrier County, and then north into Fayette county. WVVA-TV covers Tazewell County in Virginia, as far west as Dickenson county, east into Floyd and Roanoke Counties, and even a bit south of the state line into North Carolina.
Tazewell was home to our own James and Tammy Gravelle and family from 1990 to 2003 as they worked with the Tazewell Church of Christ. Having such ties with the area makes the efforts by the local congregations even more appreciated.

We continue to look for additional congregations to put us on their local stations. Contact us to learn how.
